Who we are and what we do
We are an independent organisation, made up of a group of volunteers, who aim to support the movement of Mgr Jean Bertin Nadonye, bishop of the diocese of Lolo, as he aspires to improve the living standards in the diocese of Lolo.
Schools are scarce in this part of the country, and when you do find an educational facility, they are run down and unstable. Children are not even able to attend school when there is the prospect of wind as it will knock down the infrastructure. Health clinics and hospitals are infested with germs, which causes illnesses such as mere colds, to manifest into something worse. Clean water is not available, therefore the people have to use dirty water from the river to drink, bringing more diseases.
The Bishop's mission is to ensure that the people of Lolo receive the best medical service, which will allow them to be nursed back to health in a clean environment; that the children are able to recieve appropriate education in a school where they have a roof covering them from the blazing sun or the pouring rain and comfortable seats with desks, allowing them develop to their full potential. Also, to provide the people of Lolo with clean water. These thoughts are just the beginning of making a change.
